New Zealand Interior Design, Milan contest terms and conditions

• Information on how to enter and the prizes forms part of these Terms and Conditions.

• Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

• The Promotional Period commences on 1st January 2018 at 8.00am (NZT) and closes on Monday 31st December 2018 at 9.00pm (NZT).

• Entry is open to architects and designers in New Zealand over the age of 18 years old, with completed residential projects which include Schneider Electric, PDL or Clipsal products which are installed during the Promotional Period.

• Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter(s) and associated agencies are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.

• To enter, specify and install Schneider Electric, PDL and/or Clipsal products throughout your residential projects (or that portion of it undergoing works) to the fullest extent practicable during the Promotional Period.

• Go to the entry form online at www.schneider-electric.co.nz and follow the prompts to complete your entry, including provision of details of specified Schneider Electric product, project drawings if available, project photographs showing Schneider Electric product, and a small description of the project

• Submit your final entry via email to: interiordesigncontest2018@schneider-electric.com

• Photographs must be in jpg format and must not exceed five (5) megabytes

• Photographs must not have been tampered with or altered

• Photographs can be in colour or black and white

• You must own the exclusive rights to the imagery and documentation you submit into the contest

• You must complete all fields and requirements of the competition entry

• All persons participating in the contest must be prepared to sign authorizations, at the discretion of the promoter or any third party authorised by it.

• Only one entry is permitted per building project. There is no limit to entries per individual.

• The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for submitting an entry, which is not in accordance with these conditions of entry.

• All entries will be judged by a Schneider Electric global judging panel. The best design as determined by the above judging panel will win the Major Prize. Major Prize is a trip for 2 people over 18 years of age (the permitted attendees are the winning architect or designer and guest) to Milan. The Major Prize includes return economy airfare to Milan from within New Zealand, airport transfers to and from the hotel, four night’s accommodation in Milan in a four star twin share room with daily breakfasts, and two one day admission tickets to Salone Milano, with a total value of $15,000.

• The 7 days travel must be taken during the fair dates of 9-14 April 2019. Flights and charter are subject to availability at time of booking. Additional spending money, transport to and from departure point to airport and other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the prize takers.

• It is a condition of accepting this prize that all components of the prize be taken at the same time, that all prize takers agree to publicity including the use of names and their images regarding the Promotion and that all persons taking the trip sign a waiver of liability and an indemnity in a form determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. Promoter accepts no responsibility for variations in trip prize value. Second prize is a promotional video and promotion across Schneider Electric owned channels.

• The Major Prize and Second Prize will be announced on 31 March 2019 and the winner will be notified by telephone or email within two weeks of the prize being drawn.

• If the winner cannot be contacted or does not

• Total prize pool is valued at up to $20,000. Prizes are not transferable and cannot be taken as cash. If any of the permitted attendees set out in paragraph 5 above are not able to attend in the given timeframe for collecting the prize, that component of the Major Prize relating to that attendee is forfeited.

• The Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered, including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss, or for personal injury suffered or sustained during the course of accepting or using the prize, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law. The winners will be required to provide their own travel insurance and ensure they have a valid and current passport.

• All entries become the property of the Promoter. All details will be held in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy.

• In the event that the Promoter receives more than one entry in respect of any one project, the Promoter may elect to seek further evidence in respect of the correct identity of the building owner or may elect in its absolute discretion to deem both entries to be invalid.

• The winner will be contacted by a Schneider Electric representative within two weeks of the prize being drawn.

• Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason a winner does not take a prize by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize will be forfeited.

• If any prize is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize to the equal value and/or specification.

• Unclaimed Prize Draw: The winner is given 2 weeks to claim their prize from the first point of contact made by Schneider Electric. Claiming the prize means providing Schneider Electric with all the relevant information and documentation necessary to redeem the prize.

• Should the major prize winner forfeit their prize by not making contact or not fulfilling their obligation to provide the necessary information in the time frames defined, Schneider Electric has the right to re- allocate the prize to the runner-up prize winner.

• The Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.

• If a Prize is not available for any reason, the Promoter may substitute an alternative prize to at least the value and of a similar standard as the Prize that is not available.

• The promoter makes no representation or warranty about the fitness for purpose or merchantable quality of the Prize.

• Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name and/or image in the event they are a winner in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for its promotional and publicity purposes.

• The Promoter may, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.

• The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the Eligible Entrant. Eligible Entrants should direct any request to opt out, access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter.

• The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

• The Promoter may in its sole discretion disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.

• Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the Promoter’s database. The Promoter is not responsible for receipt of incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information caused by an entrant or other error occurring during transmission. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone or network or lines, servers, or telephone or internet providers, traffic congestion on any phone or computer network, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to a computer related to or resulting from participation in the Promotion.

• If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.

• Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under New Zealand Consumer Law, as well as any other implied warranties under similar consumer protection laws. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability for any personal injury or any loss or damage whether direct, indirect, special or consequential arising in any way out of the promotion or use of a Prize.
