Schneider Electric confirms its position as one of the most digital CAC 40 companies
Auckland (New Zealand), November 10, 2016 - Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management and automation, has been ranked fourth in the 2016 eCAC40 Trophies awarded by Les Echos Business, France’s leading economic daily newspaper, Gilles Babinet, Digital Champion of France for the European Commission’s digital agenda. Since the creation of this ranking of digital maturity among CAC 40 companies, the Schneider Electric Group has consistently appeared in the Top 5, coming first in 2014, fifth in 2015 and fourth in 2016.
Set up by Les Echos with the help of a committee of high-level experts led by Gilles Babinet, the eCAC40 ranking considers more than 100 criteria in five areas: external communications and social networks, technological expertise, openness to a digital ecosystem, digital culture, and security.
Schneider Electric’s place in this ranking confirms the relevence of its digital strategy, which has been in place for years. Schneider Innovation at Every Level harnesses the power and promise of the Internet of Things to reshape cities, transform industries and enrich lives through connected products, edge control, and apps, analytics and services. The Group now makes 45% of its revenues through IoT compared with 10% 12 years ago. Schneider Electric is also engaged in active collaboration with startups worldwide to source new technologies and raise its digital visibility, as recognised by Les Echos in its publication of the 2016 ranking.
