What is Acceptance Testing

Althought start-up testing services may vary according to customers' specifications, acceptance testing is recommended. Acceptance tests are tests that are performed on new equipment, usually after installation and prior to energisation. These tests are performed to:

• Check that equipment has not been damaged during shipment or installation
• Ensure that equipment is in compliance with the purchase specification and design
• Document test benchmarks that can be used as a reference during future tests
