The Altivar 312 is easily integrated into control system architectures:

To adapt to the needs of different operators or simplify certain tasks, a wide selection of common tools for the Altivar and Lexium Series 2 product ranges has been developed. For example, configurations can be duplicated via Simple Loader, Multi-Loader, the graphic interface, the setup software SoMove and SoMove Mobile for mobile phones. SoMove Mobile only works with drives equipped with a Bluetooth interface.

Using SoMove, the design office can prepare the files required for configuration and transfer them:
- Directly from PC to drive using a USB/RJ45 cable
- Without a PC, via an SD memory card using the Multi-Loader tool
SoMove also serves as a dynamic debugging tool for your machine, while the oscilloscope function will prove invaluable during adjustments.

A standard SD memory card stores the configurations of several drives. Simply load it directly into your PC or insert into the Multi-Loader, which can be used as a card reader.

The configuration of a drive with settings for a specific application can be loaded on Simple Loader and duplicated on all other machines of the same type in a matter of seconds.

Specially designed for machines spread out over different remote sites, it has never been so easy for operators to load or modify a configuration via a mobile phone with SoMove Mobile software installed.
A carefully designed user interface
Identical to the Altivar 12, the Altivar 312 interface features all the controls on the front panel. The notched wheel in the centre has several functions and can be used for programming, navigation or as a speed reference potentiometer for local control. The easy-to-use menu and graphic interface on the Altivar 71 allow operators to choose the required language (8 languages available as standard, 20 as an option) to make adjustment even easier.

Designed for the harshest environments
Building on the advantages of its predecessor, Altivar 31, the Altivar 312 is extremely robust. It comes with coated cards as standard (IEC 60721-3-3 Classes 3C2 and 3S2) and can withstand temperatures ranging from -10°C to 50°C without derating, even when installed side-by-side. What’s more, it offers excellent resistance to disturbed power supplies and motor interference.
