Altivar 12

Variable speed drives for three-phase asynchronous motors:
0.18 to 0.75 kW, 120 V single-phase power supply
0.18 to 2.2 kW, 240 V single-phase power supply
0.18 to 4 kW, 240 V three-phase power supply

Discreet in size but big on performance, it can generate up to 30% energy savings. Replacing the Altivar 11, the Altivar 12 is the new small variable speed drive from Schneider Electric. It is particularly suitable for auxiliaries for industrial machines and for consumer machines.
Its compact size, high performance and discreet appearance make it particularly attractive for use in numerous sectors, including:
- The food industry (ventilation of catering kitchens, bagging machines, bakers' kneading machines, greenhouses, etc.)
- Small handling applications (car washes, conveyors, etc.)
- The medical and health sector (medical beds, running machines)
- Machines with a single-phase socket (wood-working machines, surface polishing and cleaning machines, swimming pool or irrigation pumps, hydromassage bathtubs, etc.)
- Simple mechanical applications (2-speed motors, DC motors, mechanical drives, etc.)

Its built-in category C1 EMC filter ensures perfect integration into the electrical network.

Small but sturdy!
Although compact in size (the smallest model measures just 72 mm wide, 102 mm deep and 143 mm high!), the Altivar 12 incorporates nearly 150 application-specific functions.

Quality and ruggedness were the overriding design considerations for this new model.
To withstand harsh environments, the cards are coated as standard and the drive’s resistance to disturbed power supplies has been increased.
High quality components have been used to ensure maximum performance and to reduce maintenance.

Adaptable to all your applications:
Altivar 12 integrates new Standard (U/f), Performance (sensorless flux vector control, or SVC) and Pump/Fan (quadratic profile or Kn²) control profiles.
It provides excellent speed control on machine load surges. Rapid detection of motor current peaks associated with certain applications, such as motor switching and catching on the fly, ensures they do not damage the motor.
